Skin and light

When I was studying Hebrew, many passages connected because of the word meaning they represented, which in English or other languages may not make much sense. The letters in the Hebrew alphabet originated from a rudimentary pictogram, where each symbol represented a specific letter and conveyed a distinct meaning.

If you compare the words “Skin” and “Light”, in English (again, or other languages), it doesn’t have any relationship. Still, in Hebrew, they are very related, since one letter differs between the two words, which have the same pronunciation as “OR”

The first time we see the word light is in the creation, when God said “let there be light” (Gen 1:3), but the first time we see the word skin is when God clothed Adam and Eve with animal skin and sent them away from the garden. “The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.” - Gen 3:21

When God made man, He clothed him with Glory, but when man sinned against God, the man lost God’s strength (the letter aleph) and God clothed him with visible skin (the letter ayn).

This glory can only be restored through Jesus Christ, Who is 100% man (and therefore has skin), and 100% God (and therefore has all the Glory).
